Work through business cases with fellow graduate students and get feedback on how you structure and communicate.

Canes Graduate Consulting Club is a student-led initiative for graduate students exploring consulting. We are building case practice, skill-building workshops, and pro-bono projects.
What we're building
Start with practice, move into projects, and meet people who do this work every day.
01
Work through business cases with fellow graduate students and get feedback on how you structure and communicate.
02
Frameworks, slide storytelling, resume reviews, and mock interviews that translate research into consulting language.
03
We plan to form small teams of graduate students to scope and deliver projects for Miami-area organizations, with an emphasis on healthcare and life sciences.
04
Hear from consultants about the work, how they got there, and where graduate students fit.
Why graduate students
Turning an open question into a testable plan is the core of both research and consulting.
We help you adapt the way you present to experts so it works for busy decision makers.
Each project asks you to get up to speed on an unfamiliar industry and deliver something useful.
Upcoming events
We are looking to take on pro-bono consulting cases and are looking for new projects. If you have a question a team of graduate students could help with, we would like to hear about it.
Join the mailing list for events, workshops, project calls, and consulting recruiting dates.
Programs
Four programs we are building to take you from your first case to a client project, designed around a graduate student schedule.
01
Practice structuring and solving business cases with fellow graduate students. Sessions are friendly to beginners, and you get feedback on both your reasoning and how you communicate it.
Best for: anyone preparing for consulting interviews, or curious what a case actually involves.
02
Hands-on sessions on problem structuring and frameworks, building clear slides, translating a research CV into a consulting resume, and mock interviews.
Best for: graduate students who want practical skills they can use in industry, whether or not they choose consulting.
03
We plan to form small teams of graduate students to scope and deliver projects for Miami-area organizations, with an emphasis on healthcare and life sciences. Each project will have a project lead and clear deliverables.
Best for: members who want real engagement experience to talk about in interviews.
04
Hear from consultants, including those who started in graduate school, about what the work is like and how they got there. Smaller coffee chats give you time for your own questions.
Best for: anyone still deciding whether consulting is the right next step.
